THE 9TH INNING IS NOW CLOSED for BUSINESS – THE OFFICIAL WORD…

On behalf of The 9th Inning Sports Bar & Grill, THANK YOU Kansas City for the good times we’ve shared. Due to the lack of full support from the community, the 9th Inning Sports Bar has been forced to close its doors. Even though there have been many issues taking the business through challenging times of uncertainty, we stayed the course and continued to push our way through. Knowing that if we were to close our doors, there would be a void in the jazz district at a time where we should be adding additional businesses, we continued to focus on building the community by providing an alternative entertainment offering. Understanding what it would take to develop this business forward we realized that it would take everyone to support the growth of the community. We accepted the lessons learned and made the necessary adjustments.  Still, we endured opposition. In spite of difficulties, the public feedback has been overwhelmingly positive from those who patronized the establishment. I know some of you are saddened to hear about this news and others simply don’t care.  I challenge those of you who do care to realize your choice limitations from frequently spending your dollars at businesses on the other side of town that do absolutely nothing to rebuild our community. In closing, we want to thank those that enjoyed our establishment and supported the business concept as our goal is to give back to the community, provide local jobs, and to educate youth about the history of baseball and all of Kansas City’s sports.

We wish only the very best of luck for everyone who reads this message as well as continued success for the Jazz District. May God Bless You!!!
